St. John’s Cultural Center

St. Johns County is part of the Jacksonville metropolitan area of Florida, spanning over 608 square miles of land surrounded by beaches, riverfronts, and several historical landmarks. Due to the ideal location for attracting visitors and industry, the county’s population grew 4.2 percent between 2017 and 2018, making St. Johns County the eighth-fastest growing county in the country.

In 2022, the County received a grant from the Florida Division of Historical Resources for a Cultural Resources Interpretation Program, which included the installation of historical markers and interpretive panels at designated park sites important to the community. One of the responsibilities of the County was to provide an inventory and interpretation of cultural resources to assist the County in fulfilling its role of bringing historical awareness for these sites to local residents and visitors. The project specifically included the installation of 13 historic markers and 27 interpretive panels at 15 different park sites throughout the County.

St. Johns County required panels that would endure the heat and humidity of Florida’s tropical climate. iZone Imaging’s High Pressure Laminate is impervious to moisture and extremely durable, easy to maintain, and covered by a 10-year warranty, making it the natural choice to ensure that the historical markers and interpretive panels would be enjoyed by residents and visitors for years to come!

“It was great working with Izone staff. They provided regular updates, worked efficiently on numerous required edits to signage text and met the project timeline with an on-time delivery of the product. The product look exceeded expectations, with all the required assembly”
