National Museum of the Pacific War
‘Children on the Homefront: Growing Up with War’ is the newest gallery opened at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg, Texas. It portrays the sensitive subject of life during World War II through the eyes of America’s children. There are three separate vignettes and themes in the gallery that range from a cotton farm in Texas to a street in south Chicago to an internment camp in Wyoming.
The vastly different perspectives provide visitors with varying narratives from the era. The new exhibits feature multiple interactive displays, and an array of informative reader panels. Exhibit Concepts and DG Studios worked in tandem to design exhibits and interactives that are impactful and inclusive to all. Special attention was also given to ensure that the new gallery, covering nearly 1,000 square feet of space, would accommodate those living with disabilities. iZone’s Custom High Pressure Laminate material was chosen for its high quality graphics and long lasting durability.
“iZone Imaging has also provided timely and responsive customer service ensuring that project needs are met and exceeded. iZone and its CHPL is an excellent choice for any type of children’s exhibit.” – Bill Martin, Project Management Director at Exhibit Concepts
Special thanks to DG Studios, who designed the exhibit, as well as Boston Productions for producing the digital content and Bowen Technovation for providing A/V support.
