Kauffman Museum at Bethel College

All to often we overlook a unique opportunity to share information with people. Chuck Regier, Curator of Exhibits, seized such an opportunity at Bethel College Kauffman Museum in North Newton, Kansas. Utilizing a mile and a half trail that winds through the college campus, Regier worked with the City of North Newton to produce a series of “pause points” that tell the story of the history of the town.

Each site features a map, trail marker and an interpretive panel providing information on the community’s rich cultural history. Things like the history of the prairie with archaeological insights and a heavily used wagon trail, with preserved wagon ruts.
