iZone’s durable Custom High Pressure Laminate (CHPL) signs and graphics were specified recently for the orientation maps portion of the Circuit of the Americas exterior wayfinding program. The United States’ only Formula 1 racetrack is located in Austin, Texas, just an hour south of iZone’s headquarters.
fd2s, a wayfinding consulting and environmental graphic design firm based in Austin, provided the site-wide wayfinding program for the Circuit of the Americas, as well as other environmental graphic design elements including exterior site identification, building identification, parking lot identification, seating, interior identification, and directionals. National Signs from Houston, Texas was the exterior signage fabricator on the project and incorporated iZone’s CHPL into their work.
According to fd2s designer Rick Smits, iZone was specified because of the superior quality of their Custom High Pressure Laminate, the company’s close proximity to the project, and capability of handling the quick turnaround necessary to complete the Circuit of the America project on time. This testimony is a direct reflection on iZone’s integrated project delivery, with printing, pressing, finishing, and logistics all executed under one roof.
