Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum

The Monte L. Bean Life Science Museum, located at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah has a mission to inspire wonder and reverence for our living planet. The museum’s “Life Submerged” exhibit recently upgraded their interpretive signage that included Custom High Pressure Laminate signage. The upgraded exhibit depicts both freshwater and marine ecosystems. It highlights a coral reef and deep-sea thermal vent, as well as a cross-section through a river.

This exhibit is a direct reflection of the museums mission in many ways. Two of the displays explain the differences and similarities of life found in freshwater ecosystems vs. saltwater ecosystems. The third display discusses climate and how sudden change can “harm plants, disrupt animal habitats, cause extreme weather”. It also discusses the part that carbon plays on climate and how mankind can help control excessive carbon output. 

When visiting the “Life Submerged” exhibit, you are able to interact and learn all about marine systems through beautiful interpretive signage and bright ecosystem displays. “We used iZone’s High Pressure Laminate throughout the exhibit because it is impervious to moisture and can withstand the high traffic for years to come.” – Brigham Young University staff member
